Alison Trujillo

Bio: I am a San Francisco-based artist. My work draws upon the rich variety and experiences of my environment in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have also worked and traveled extensively throughout Europe and Latin America and these moments inspire much of my subject matter and color choices.

My artwork explores form and color in the world around me. I often simplify the shape and line of everyday objects, an appreciation of the small details that surround us each day. The use of bold paint color contrasts with simplicity of form. Different colors than seen in the natural world are an exploration of the feelings that may arise when seeing a familiar object in a new light; it is also a way to show emotion about a particular place or experience.
