Bio: Shannon Abac was born and raised on the island of Maui, Hawaii. She studied ceramics at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, earning a B.F.A. in ceramics in 2007. She recently joined Red Brick Studio, a cooperative studio space in the heart of San Francisco's Mission district.

Shannon is a ceramics artist who works primarily with the abstract figure. Her work has been described as playful, whimsical, and dreamy with mischievous undertones. Her figurative sculptures explore the defiance of societal expectations of women, including virginity, submission, and idealized beauty.
