Bio: My sculpture and installations are lyrical depictions of the wonders and grotesqueries of life’s myriad manifestations. Science, ecology, fantasy, and religion collide in constructed fictitious scenarios where one can experience a basic awareness of self and surroundings. The work capitalizes on the propensity to anthropomorphize other species. It provides a framework in which to consider how we regard other life forms, the extent other species’ experience is similar to our own, and the abundant legacy and multi-dimensional aspects of the living world, always posing the question – what is it to be alive?
