Susanna Douglas

Bio: Born in La Spezia, Italy, Susanna Douglas grew up on the east coast of the United States and is currently based in San Francisco. Her work ranges from abstract photography, to phenomenologically driven installations, to architecture that evokes overlapping sensory conditions. Across genres, she explores the nature of physical and experiential reality as it relates to the ephemeral realm of the imagination. She holds an undergraduate degree from Princeton University and a graduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and was awarded a Branner Fellowship. She currently practices architecture and lighting design for Loisos + Ubbelohde, and lectures at California College of the Arts.
