Bio: I have two styles of paintings - relaxing abstract oils and drip acrylic paintings.

My oil painting style naturally lends itself to the calming and introspective feeling of looking at water, the sky or sunsets. Colors are blended together and different lighting will show different elements of depth. I often use variations of one or two colors, which allows the paintings to better blend, augment their surroundings and continue to stay interesting over time. The objective is to create a calming flow, introspective depth and instinctive balance.

The acrylic drip paintings create a further challenge of harnessing the energetic feel and less predictable application of acrylic drip while maintaining order and balance.

My procedure for painting is to mix paint until I find the right colors, then in essence allow my subconscious mind to take over, with flowing and decisive movements tied together through the consistent style. I am at my best and "in the zone" when just going on instinct.

I find that people who are attached to either of these styles feel it immediately.

I like creating art for specific spaces, and much of my work is inspired by knowing where it will hang before I start. I am therefore very open to commissions in any color.
